The Japanese Garden in the Hiratsuka Central Park (平塚市総合公園)

The Japanese garden in Hiratsuka Central Park (also referred to as Hiratsuka City General Park on the Kanagawa Travel Info website) (平塚市総合公園) opened in October 1989.  The garden covers an area of 8,150 square meters, with paths arranged around a central pond.

The garden is designed with three distinct zones; mountain, forest, and water.  Water flows from the east side of the pond, referred to as "upstream," to the west side, referred to as "downstream."

9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (from June to September:  9:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
